THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
- Main job: To transport blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients, throughout the body. It also removes waste.
- Key Vocabulary:
Arteries: Carry blood away from the heart.Veins: Carry blood back to the heart.Capillaries: The tiniest blood vessels (tubes) that connect small arteries and veins.
Red Blood Cells: Carry oxygen.White Blood Cells: Fight germs.Platelets: Help stop bleeding.
THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
- Main job: The respiratory system ditributes oxygen to our body.
- Key vocabulary (Book, page 27): Inhalation, exhalation.
HEALTHY HABITS
Your mental health is like your superpower—it helps you feel strong and happy every day. But… if you ignore it, you might feel tired, sad, or stressed.
Just like superheroes train their bodies, you can train your mind too!
Here are 5 hero tips:
- Talk about your feelings – Even heroes ask for help! Share with a friend, parent, or teacher.
- Take breaks – When things feel tough, pause like a hero before the next mission.
- Do what you love – Play, draw, read, or listen to music. Fun gives you energy!
- Be kind to yourself – Heroes make mistakes too. Say: “I’ll try again!”
- Sleep well – Every hero needs rest to recharge their powers.
Remember: Your mind is your greatest power. Take care of it and you’ll be unstoppable!
